Driven by these values, we catalyze community lead initiatives that strengthens the initiative of peoples in crisis to help each other to survive, recover their communal wellbeing and to reduce their vulnerability to the future acute and chronic crises, mitigate conflict and build lasting peace
Reach to date
Since our inception in 2021, C2C has demonstrated the immense power of mobilizing local social capital alongside catalytic funding. Our model proves that small, well-placed investments can spark a massive ripple effect across entire regions. Among others, the following are key achievements:
- Engage and working with over 360 active mutual aid groups and funded over 500 community-led initiatives to address local crises.
- Facilitated an appreciative inquires that enable groups to design and implement e range of own led projects benefiting more than 350,000 people including restoring essential cooperation and conflict resolution.
- Successfully escalated livelihood investments from 6.8M ETB to over 31.7M ETB, to expand program reach across multiple woredas.
- Members of the group generated significant household income gains through own designed interventions (poultry production, shoat rearing, and animal fattening), multiplying asset values fourfold from 15,000 ETB to 60,000 ETB.
- Stabilized food security and local economic liquidity by distributing over 500 quintals of seeds and more 2,000 quintals of food grains, generating an economic turnover of nearly 10 million ETB
